771st Chemical Depot Company (Aviation)

The 771st operated the central chemical munitions depot for the China-Burma-India Theater during WWII, ready to respond with over 100,000 toxic chemical bombs if Japan had continued to use its own chemical munitions. Disposing of the unused bombs and bulk chemicals after Japan surrendered was a major challenge. The units Organizational History Reports provide no comprehensive lists of the unit’s enlisted men. The higher-ranking officers below were visitors, not members of the Company. Please email HoosierScientist@yahoo.com if you can provide additional names.
