769th Chemical Depot Company (Aviation)
The 769th was a segregated unit (Black NCOs and other enlisted men, and white commissioned officers) which provided incendiary bombs for the B-29s of the 468th Bomb Group, XX Bomber Command in India during Operation Matterhorn. They also had toxic chemical bombs ready to load, although that order never came. The list of names is incomplete. Please email HoosierScientist@yahoo.com if you have additional information.
